Thank you Mona for addressing my "burning" questions. Your assurance and encouragement are truly appreciated. Thanks for making it okay to ask a lot of questions and that it is better to have a clear understanding of questionable items than to stay in a haze for the sake of covering a lot of material. Having these items cleared up will just make the roads that much easier and enjoyable along my journey to learning Arabic. You are an excellent tour guide for the Arabic language!!! See you soon, God Willing!

Thank you, Mona! You were very patient with all of my grammar questions and the explanations were really helpful. Next time I will try to reduce the number of questions so we can actually practise some of the homework sentences together!

Thank you SOOO MUCH Mona!!! I was definitely hitting a snag with understanding how to do a lesson and you had the patience of an angel and made sure I could do the exercise. I can laugh now, but it definitely humbles me. You are an excellent model teacher. I will definitely become a better teacher this semester. WOW!!! Excellent lesson regarding the definite article and the differences in use. JUST EXCELLENT!!!

Thank you Mona!! This was great! My brain needed to be stretched and challenged. It's funny to see things in a different light. I tend to make things so difficult when they are soooo obvious!! But, that's part of learning. And I really appreciate your support and encouragement and admire your patience!! Great Job, Mona!!

Another great (and fun) lesson. As usual, Mona was right on time. I gave a brief bio of my life, focused on Arabic learning and work history, and Mona asked me questions like what was the biggest problem I encountered at work, what did I learn over the years of work, etc. Along the way we talked and joked about my invisible dog fence and my wife, the nurse, recommending garlic cloves to cure a cold. In the future we are going to use activities from Boris Shekhtman's الله يرحمه book, a pdf of which I emailed to Mona.

This was our first session, and focused on enabling Mona to get a sense of my strengths and weaknesses in Arabic, as well as defining the goals of the lessons. She was extremely helpful and professional, clearly knows a great deal about modern teaching methods, and has good suggestions about how to proceed.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Mona! I am so glad you make me take the time to do each exercise!! Sometimes I think, there is no way I can understand or do the homework, but as long as I just start, it starts to make sense, even if I can't understand everything. God willing, I will be able to progress steadily. Also, I ordered by keyboard cover, I can't wait for it to come in so that I can type in Arabic with a little more ease.

Thank you Mona. Every lesson has a 'revelation' for me or in other words, an important piece to a puzzle is found. I hope your other students understand the importance of persistence and consistency. See you soon!

Mona! Thank you for your patience and ONCE AGAIN for your persistence. You are an EXCELLENT role model for teachers. It's like I am blindfolded and I have to feel my way along a wall until I can find the opening to the next room (or, until I just take off my blindfold). You gently and patiently provide me the directions to get myself through the door without picking me up and putting me there. WELL DONE MONA!!! (it would have been easier for me, if I had done my homework, 😉 // lesson learned, I hope, in shaa allah!)

شكرا يا منا I feel much more comfortable with conjugating verbs. I definitely needed this lesson and conjugating the verbs in your safe hands made me much more confident. God wiling , it will become a little easier. Talk to you in a few days!!
